This past week has been full of Mike Tice talk on KFAN.  Should he have been fired, his vivacious personality, classic Tice moments, etc.  I liked Mike.  Yes, he was a big “lug” but he could motivate (Not babysit) and he does have a good offensive mind.  Wonder what he could have done with some of the Wilf’s money since he was scrooged for years under the McCombs era.  Funny, the fans we’re screaming for Tice to get fired back then and now Rubes are thinking he would be a better coach then Childress?!?!  Again, it shows what a fickle state we live in when it comes to our favorite team.  I hear from behind the scenes that “Chili” has a good sense of humor.  Might not know it from the sidelines….maybe he just needs to take up cigar smoking and have a “Reserved For The Head Coach of the Vikings” parking sign at Bunny’s. 

Wow…………what a game last Sunday at the Metrodome.  Any time we Vikes fans can walk out after a Packers game and give the Cheeseheads “bunk” for once……….I love it!  Just really seems to make a Monday in Minnesota a lot better.  And, Coach Childress received the game ball from Zygi Wilf.  Thank-you ADRIAN!  I have never seen an NFL player like A.P.  What heart…..he attacks every play with every ounce of his ability.  Maybe our Secret Weapon Chili did the trick at tailgating?  Yeah, even Fox 9 came over for a bowl to warm-up.  We were “live” with our tailgate buddies on their newscast that morning.  Guess it was just a fun day from the start!  GO VIKES………TIED FOR FIRST PLACE!!

Alright……….get it that this Sunday’s Division game against the Packers is a rivalry we look forward to every year.  It’s referred to as Packer Week, but to me it’s VIKINGS week!  Because we will win in the same fashion that Obama beat McCain…….ahead early and done by half!!  Who would you vote for as your favorite Vikings player so far this season?  Don’t forget to hit our contest page to enter your Vikings game prediction.

In a nutshell:  what do you think about politicians roaming the tailgate lots before a Vikings game?  Smart on their part, I guess……..but idiotic to ask long time Vikings fans who purchased Tailgate Passes months ago and were all set-up to tailgate that they had to move spaces to make room for political ads.  Besides, at 6a.m. in the morning there are a lot of other spots to choose from.  Yes, we were asked to move out of our paid spot by security and Impark personnel to another location to make room for……well, I’ll let the photo tell you.  Impark will be crediting us for one day and the Coleman Campaign did come over to shake hands, hug, and all that however;  It’s a matter of principle.  Oh and Norm said he will be calling me this week…….I’ll let you know.

Can’t the Minnesota Vikings just have a quiet Bye week?  Now Kevin and Pat Williams are being looked at for taking Water Pills.  FOX Sports reported the the Williams Wall tested positive for a banned diuretic.  They could face a four game suspension, pending an appeal.  That’s all we need!!  The Vikes would definitely be in trouble up the middle if this suspension goes through.  Read the story:

Jeff Dubay is now terminated from KFAN.  Not a surprise.  Every time you hear “Puffy’s” voice it connects you to his wrong choice.  Bummer…………….PA & Dubay were an awesome tandem.  However; no doubt that PA can more then hold his own and continue with a great show.  Hopefully, he will stick with KFAN, as there have always been rumors that he could go national one day!

Feeling kind of blue after a Vikings loss?  Your Purple Gal would rather go shopping then cuddle?  Get your “prattle” on with KFAN’s PA & Dubay on Thursday’s as they discuss relationships and stuff with D-VAL from K102. 

Yeah……me too.  When you see Coach Childress on the field and with the 0-2 start to the season, you think non-approachable and what are you thinking?  Disappointing start, but come on you true Purple fans, don’t jump off the Bandwagon already!!  Meeting with The Coach one-on-one at the KFAN Pressbox Studio earlier this season and my visit to Winter Park, really gave me a behind the scenes of the coach off the field.  He is personable, funny, and will talk straight -up to the fans.  Now, does that win Super Bowls?  Probably not…….but what I am encouraging all of us Vikings fans is to stay passionate and give the Coach, his staff, and players the chance to turn it around.  And, I believe they will!! What are your thoughts about the season so far?  Tell us what stands out amongst good or bad coaching decisions. 

Had the great opportunity to snag a photo with Adrian Peterson at Training Camp!  As we Vikes fans already know….he is a stud.  I don’t know if I care much for “All Day” as a nickname.  I prefer “Stealth”.  And that he is!!  Adrian also showed us what a classy guy he is when after my daughter had her signed AP ball stolen right from her hands by a younger boy….the next day at Training Camp he signed a new ball for her even though his time to sign was up!!  Since then, Adrian has turned a 12-Year-Old girl on to watching a lot more NFL and not to mention she’s totally taken by him.  And why not!!!!  GO ADRIAN!!  What’s your favorite Adrian moment?

You know the old cliche’?  Defense wins Super Bowls……well, if that’s the case, give the Vikes the crown this season.  Yeah, I was at the game the other night against Pittsburgh.  Oh, Um….a bit boring.  But that’s okay, because there was not a lot of offense.  Dah…………which means it was a defensive battle.  Everybody loves to see AP run for mega yards and the bomb thrown to Rice, I am one of them.  But a little analysis and look at the Vikings “D” this game and who cares that we lost?  It’s preaseason!  Look out opposing QB’s!!  You better be ready for an aerial attack because you are going no where on the ground!  GO VIKES!
